Reimu hasn't changed. Miku has even changed since that dress. Hopefully all 3 of these series will live forever - no matter the changes

What I get from this, is the Vocaloid and IdolM@ster franchises have evolved and branched out to different things, while Touhou Project has remained largely the same; only recently entering the console game industry (PS4).

Touhou is run by one person so expanding would be hard. It's generally the job of the fans to start expanding - which itself is also limited.

volcaloid and idm are not for everyone, even among weebs. 2hu has a much wider range. even my 86 yo granpa like necrofantasia and border of life.
